FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of lighting up of pulverized coal boilers and stabilization of boiler flame burning (lighting). Pulverized coal fuel is ignited by generating jet of low-temperature plasma in unidirectional current plasma generator with grounded electrode connected to converter producing pulsating or interrupted current of main arc. Said converter is connected to main circuit and dc auxiliary weak current arc is preliminarily created in plasma generator, said arc being supplied from separate source. variable power plasma jet is supplied to thermochemical fuel preparation chamber of burner, and pulverized coal-air mixture is delivered into said chamber. Mixture ignited in chamber is delivered from burner into boiler furnace. If thyristor regulator connected over a zero circuit arrangement is used as converter supply main arc of plasma generator, second plasma generator is placed in operation simultaneously which is supplied through similar circuit from second thyristor zero-circuit regulator connected to transformer symmetrically relative to first thyristor regulator. Polarity of connection of second plasma generator is changed into reverse polarity relative to polarity of connection of first plasma generator. Invention provides considerable reduction of power of transformer with insulated neutral at preservation of stability of ignition of pulverized coal-air mixture and electric power supplied to plasma generator. EFFECT: improved reliability of operation. 2 cl, 2 dwg
