FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, mainly to modification of articles of hard alloys used in engineering for cold and hot machining of non-metals, metals and metal alloys, for example, by milling. Carbide cutter with diamond wear-resistant coating, in which diamond wear-resistant coating is diamond coating modified by gamma irradiation from radioisotope source Cs137 at values of absorbed dose of radiation from 4500 rad to 6000 rad.
EFFECT: increase in operational durability of coating of microfrequency characterized by length of milling path is provided.
