FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to machines and technologies of foundry. Device for producing iron-carbon alloy castings contains a refractory crucible for melting the thermite charge, which is in the form of an inverted truncated cone with a tap for slag loading into the ingot mold and a tap for downloading the iron-carbon melt into the mold, and an apparatus for activating the oxidation-reduction reaction set in the upper part of the crucible. At the same time, it is equipped with a thermoregulating intermediate ladle below the refractory crucible for monitoring and fine-tuning the chemical composition and the temperature of the iron-carbon melt, made in the form of an inverted truncated cone, whose internal volume is 8–15 times smaller than the internal volume of the refractory crucible, and comprising a bushing installed in its bottom with an outlet for controlling the rate of pouring the melt into a mold, arranged coaxially under the bucket, and a plug formed as an inverted truncated cone with the possibility of mounting it into the outlet, the refractory crucible being placed on the support with the possibility of rotation from the vertical axis for the slag and iron-carbonaceous melt to be loaded through the respective flanges.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce iron-carbon alloy castings of the required chemical composition from the termite charge, and also to increase the stability of the crucible.
