FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electric machine includes stator and rotor cores separated by an air gap, at least one of which has teeth and slots constituting a tooth-slot area. In the slots there are active conductors of crossover winding of rectangular shape, and there are compact front winding conductors above the surfaces of the end areas of this core. The slots are made in the form of at least two parts having rectangular cross sections that are close in size, forming portions of the tooth-slot area together with the tooth portions located between the parts. The length of these sections, parallel to the bottom of the slots, that represents the width of the slot parts, increases from the center of the electric machine, and the averaged width of the core teeth is constant within each part of the tooth-slot area.
EFFECT: reduction of losses in core steel and in copper windings.
