Use of a composition of alkyl-glycerol esters derived from marine organisms containing 94 % chemical alcohol is proposed as a means of reducing neuropathic pain. Invention can be used to reduce the pain sensitivity of the organism both with the use of an individual composition of alkyl-glycerol esters and in combination with other substances having a biological effect.

EFFECT: property of alkyl-glycerol esters derived from sea lipids was found to reduce neuropathic pain and its cognitive effects by preventing activation of M1 microglia and normalization of neurogenesis in the hippocampus.
