SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering. Controllable lighting unit comprises at least a first light source and second light source (12) each having a light emission surface; orientation sensor (17); distance sensor (15); and controller (63) electronically connected to said first light source and said second light source, said controller functions to modify at least one light characteristic of the first light source and the second light source. Controller reads data from the orientation sensor and the distance sensor to modify at least one light characteristic of the first light source, independent of modification of the at least one light characteristic of the second light source when the data satisfy a first criterion.

EFFECT: technical result is the ability to adapt lighting depending on environmental conditions and orientation of the lighting unit.
