FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the obtaining of hydroperoxides of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons and can be used in the processes of co-production of phenol (methyl phenols) and acetone, styrene and propylene oxide. A method for the obtaining of hydroperoxides by the liquid-phase oxidation of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons with atmospheric oxygen at a process pressure of 100–140 °C, for 0.5–1 hours, in the presence of N-hydroxyphthalimide pre-treated with an ozone-air mixture as the catalyst in an amount of 1–3 % by weight.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accumulation rate of hydroperoxides by a factor of 1,5–2, while maintaining a high selectivity of their formation (92–98 %).
