FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inline terminal (1) comprising body (2), at least two electrically conductive contact elements (3, 4), at least two connecting elements (5) for connecting electrical conductors and at least one separating element (6) movably disposed in terminal body (2) and having longitudinal axis (L), in the first position of separating element (6), electrically conductive contact elements (3, 4) are connected to each other, and in the second position of separating element (6) are separated from each other.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce need for a structural space for breaking a circuit between contact elements and separating element due to the fact, that contact elements (3, 4) are arranged one behind the other in direction of longitudinal axis (L) of separating element (6), which is mounted in terminal body (2) with the possibility of moving in direction of its longitudinal axis (L), and direction (B) of movement of separating element (6) is different from direction (E) of longitudinal extension of inline terminal (1).
