FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises working cylinder, intake system, fuel feed system and exhaust system. Engine intake system incorporates singlet oxygen generator composed of laser radiation source and chamber with inlet and outlet, chamber feature mirror inner surface. Solid-stage laser emitting 762.3-762.4 nm-long waves is used as said laser radiation source. Proposed method consists in feeding air and fuel in engine cylinder and enriching the air with singlet oxygen at inlet, making fuel-air mix of preset composition, igniting said mix in said cylinder, expanding combustion products and discharging them from said cylinder. In engine operation engine cylinder gas temperature is measured while amount of singlet oxygen in air fed in intake pipe is set subject to measured temperature.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability decreased emission of toxic matters.
