SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high temperature seals (102) for use in rotary valves (100). Seal sample for use in the rotary valves comprises primary seal (134) engaging with flow control element (104), when the primary seal is in a first condition, and secondary seal (136) is at least partially disposed within primary seal (134). Primary seal (134) is to prevent secondary seal (136) from engaging with flow control element (104) when primary seal (134) is in the first condition, and secondary seal (136) is to engage with flow control element (104) when primary seal (134) is in a second condition.
EFFECT: invention ensures higher reliability of sealing.
