FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of laser location, physical optics and can be used in passive location systems to determine the luminous objects location in different ranges of electromagnetic waves. Claimed luminous object detection device comprises aiming and attenuation system, recorder, output processing device. At that, the aiming system is made in the form of opaque shell, made in the form of the screen with square opening (D×D) and coaxially with the screen placed at a distance L(L>h) angle reflector in the form of the regular tetrahedral pyramid with edge plates with bases of length l0(l0> D) and bevel at the base at an angle, and the attenuation system is made as the set of screen opening edges and its internal diffusely reflecting surface. Recorder consists of two channels containing two photodetectors with replaceable set of optical filters and installed in front of them collecting lens, wherein transmitting photoelectric signals to the processing device output photodetectors are pairwise symmetrically placed on the vertical and horizontal axes parallel to the screen plane at a distance li(li>D) from each other in the geometric shadow area.

EFFECT: technical result is implementation of the passive optical location, the received signals quality improvement due to increase in the signal-to-noise ratio, which allows to increase the range when detecting various objects having the mirror-reflective reflection type.
