FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for stabilizing a pressure drop between a seal oil and a gas in a centrifugal blower seal system. Method is realized by means of a device made in the form of a vertically arranged hydraulic cylinder comprising a lower housing, an upper housing connected by a double-sided flange, top cover, bottom cover; the upper housing comprises a rod, the lower housing comprises a piston with seal on the seal oil, one gas seal and a guide tape, the upper cover of the hydraulic cylinder is provided with a fitting, the lower cover of the hydraulic cylinder is provided with a fitting, the method comprising the following steps: the piston is moved from the upper position to the lower position when the pressure difference between the sealing oil and the gas falls abruptly, displacing the oil of the seal into the oil collector of the gas compressor unit, the emergency power supply is connected, the mass and diameter of the rod is set in such a way that, the value of the pressure difference between the seal oil and the gas varies in the range of values greater than the emergency value and less than the warning value to ensure the maximum operating time of the device.
EFFECT: prevention of negative impact on the components of the centrifugal compressor sealing system.
