SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutical industry, namely to method for preparation of agent with antimicrobial activity. Process for the preparation of an agent having an antimicrobial activity, comprising treating the fish oil with 1.0–2.5 % sodium chloride solution, in which a compound of a polyvalent metal is solved selected from: Cu(NO₃)₂⋅3H₂O, CuCl₂⋅2H₂O, FeCl₃, Fe (NO₃)₃⋅6H₂O, Cr(SO₄)₃, K₂Cr₂O₇, NiCl₂, in such way that the concentration of metals in the aqueous solution of the sodium salt is 0.02 to 2.50 ppm with a fat to salt ratio of 1:10 to 15, further, they are mixed and infused for 10–15 days at a temperature of 18–25 °C and constant stirring with the subsequent separation of the water layer.

EFFECT: above described method allows to obtain high yield of the final product of high quality.
