FIELD: motors and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is the diesel engine accumulator fuel system, including accumulator, injection fuel pipeline, electrohydraulic injector with inlet cavity and channels. System differs from the conventional one in that the injection fuel pipeline has internal diameter of 1.5–3 mm, and the injection pipeline and high-pressure channels total length is estimated by the ratio lpipe=(0.1–0.15)⋅a⋅tinj, where a is the speed of sound at the pressure in accumulator; tinj is the fuel injection duration at the rated operating mode. It is possible to use the pressure multiplier. Use of such a fuel system leads to the injection characteristic stepped leading edge formation, as well as the fuel injection at the final stage at elevated pressures.
EFFECT: due to this enabling the maximum pressure in the cylinder, rigidity of combustion, noise, and both nitrogen oxides and solid particles with exhaust gases emissions reduction.
