SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heat insulating material characterized by an improved thermal resistance and abrasion resistance, as well as to a method for manufacturing the same. Heat insulating material comprises a multilayer material obtained by laying fibrous layers which include heat-resistant fibers, wherein these fibrous layers is joined by a thermosetting polymer, wherein the multilayer material does not include a thermoplastic polymer having a lower thermal stability temperature than the thermosetting polymer, or includes only a small amount of a thermoplastic polymer having a lower thermal stability temperature than the thermosetting polymer.

EFFECT: proposed is a heat insulating material and a method for manufacturing the same.
