SUBSTANCE: beverage preparation system comprises beverage preparation machine (1) and jug (3). Beverage preparation machine (1) is provided with steam nozzle (41) and jug (3) is provided with steam duct (25) having steam inlet end (25A) designed and arranged for connection to steam nozzle (41). Steam nozzle (41) is housed in recess (11) having entry aperture (35), bottom wall (39) and upper wall (38). Steam nozzle (41) is arranged at bottom wall (39) of recess (11) and is oriented towards upper wall (45). Steam inlet end (25A) of steam duct (25) projects from jug (3), such that a connection between steam nozzle (41) and steam duct (25) is established by introducing steam inlet end (25A) in recess (11) and by lowering jug (3) until a fluid connection is established between steam nozzle (41) and steam inlet end (25A) of steam duct (25).
EFFECT: invention provides a simpler, but a safe beverage producing machine, having a reduced number of electric and electronic components.
