According to the said method, the powder layer has lateral cross section having substantially isosceles trapezoidal shape with two side edges having decreasing thickness, decreasing substantially in accordance with the powder natural slope angle. To hold the powder layer two side walls perpendicular to the said movable surface and parallel to the movement direction are provided . Walls are positioned inside the decreasing edge so, that to allow the edge division into two parts having the same cross-section. Located during the strip movement from these walls outer side powder is transferred into the gap formed between the walls next to these walls.
