FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: system of pulse periodic charging (PPC) with an intermediate capacitive storage refers to high-voltage pulse technology and can be used in the development of powerful pulsed-periodic electron accelerators and microwave generators based on them. System of pulse-periodic charging with an intermediate capacitive accumulator contains a high-voltage source, a buffer capacitive accumulator, a high-speed protective relay, two inductors, two high-voltage diodes, a spark gap with two groups of fixed spatially spaced and parallel electrodes and two superimposed rotating electrodes with three-pin contacts each, an intermediate capacitive accumulator, a high-voltage pulse generator, as well as a position sensor for rotating electrodes and two sliding contacts electrically connected on one side to the rotating electrodes, on the other through a current-limiting element with a grounded casing of the arrester.

EFFECT: increased stability of the operation of a system of pulse-periodic charging at the limiting frequencies, the reliability of its operation, and minimization of the consequences of the incorrect operation of the main elements included in the PPC and the high-voltage pulse generator.
