FIELD: hydro acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of hydroacoustics and can be used to detect and classify echoes from objects using middle-duration probing signals. Method for classifying the active sonar echo includes the radiation of a probing signal, reception of an echo in a mixture with noise interference by a hydroacoustic antenna of the spectral analysis of the obtained sets of sampled samples using the fast Fourier transform; for each set determine the average value of all spectral samples; for each set determine the spectral count with the largest amplitude, in each set, the greatest amplitude of the spectral reference is compared with the threshold chosen from the average value obtained by summing all the spectral samples of all the sets, in each set, the spectral reference number is stored and the presence of the signal is determined using the properties of the uncertainty function, a serial measurement is made of the amplitudes of this spectral sample over consecutive time intervals, the maximum amplitude of the echo in the measured sequence is determined, the numbers of local maxima at the measured duration are measured, determine the radial velocity of the object according to the spectral reference N number and make a decision about the class of the object according to the measured classification criteria for radial velocity, length, number of maxima, maximum amplitude of the echo signal.
EFFECT: use of the proposed method makes it possible to detect and classify an object by one radiation cycle-reception.
