METHOD OF DISPLAYING HYDROLOCATION INFORMATION Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01S15/58

Abstract RU 2726312 C1

FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics and can be used in designing and developing active sonar systems for illuminating near environment. Method for displaying hydrolocation information, in which simultaneously irradiating a non-directional plane in a horizontal plane with an antenna, receiving an echo signal by a cylindrical antenna having a static directional fan in the horizontal plane along the M directions, signals are sampled in series by K on each of the M directions, K times over the distance of irradiation of the water space, for each of M directions, distance elements are successively displayed K times, all received echo signals in one radiation-reception cycle are stored, measuring the amplitudes of all received echo signals, determining the average value as measured amplitude Asp, determining all signals exceeding threshold, measuring their amplitude and time position of amplitudes exceeding threshold, all signals are normalized to signal with maximum amplitude, generating an ellipsoidal pattern of M directions mapping, wherein on small axis of ellipse size of output between samples is reduced by value of P-times, where P is the controlled parameter, the normalized amplitudes of the sampled samples simultaneously in all directions are displayed in colour, wherein the colour of the reading amplitude is changed from dark blue, which corresponds to the minimum signal amplitude to white, which corresponds to the maximum amplitude during normalization.

EFFECT: technical result is providing the operator with additional information on the characteristic amplitude and structural properties of the detected objects through one radiation-reception cycle, which increases the probability of detection and classification.
