FIELD: garden tools.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to garden tools. Garden pruner (100) comprises detachable head (110) with spring-loaded blade (111), drive cable (120), first end (121) of which is connected to spring-loaded blade (111), elongated body (130) and handle (140). Garden pruner (100) also comprises flattened cone pulley (150) and rotatably connected to handle (140). Pulley (150) has first end (151) and second end (152). Diameter (D1) of first end (151) of pulley (150) is smaller than diameter (D2) of second end (152) of the pulley. Drive cable (120) is disposed in spiral groove (153) at first end (151) of pulley (150) and at least once wound around pulley (150) along spiral groove (153). Second end (122) of drive cable (120) is attached to second end (132) of elongated body (130). Drive cable (120) wound on pulley (150) can be moved to second end (152) of pulley (150) as a result of unwinding one part of drive cable (120) from pulley (150) and winding the other part of drive cable (120) onto pulley (150) to reduce the distance between first end (121) of drive cable (120) and second end (122) of drive cable (120), which causes spring-loaded blade (111) to move relative to jaw (112) when handle (140) moves along elongated body (130).

EFFECT: reduction in the size of the cutting head of the pruner, reduction of frictional losses during use, simplification of maintenance and replacement of parts.
