FIELD: processing of metals.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for producing a spot-welded structure of steel sheets. Welded structure comprises two or three steel sheets with thickness of 0.5 to 2.6 mm, placed to form an overlapping portion. Overlying portion is located in a predetermined deformation area when the load is applied to the welded structure. At least within the overlapping portion, said steel sheets are connected by spot welding to produce a plurality of spot welds. Diameter dng (mm) of a nugget is selected according to a given mathematical expression depending on the diameter of a recess formed on the surface of the steel sheet from the tip of the electrode and the average thickness of the steel sheet in the overlapped portion of the welded structure.
EFFECT: structure allows reducing fractures on welded sites.
