FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an anti-corrosive coating composition, a method for applying the anti-corrosive coating composition, and to a coated substrate. Composition comprising at least one polysiloxane having a weight-average molecular weight Mw in the range of 800 to 25,000 g/mol, metal particles and at least one curing agent, wherein the polysiloxane and the curing agent together form a reactive binder system wherein the polysiloxane content is more than 90 wt%, curing agent content is, respectively, less than 10 wt%. Composition comprises a fraction of metallic particles in the range of 70 to 98 wt% based on the weight of the coating composition. Curing agent is selected from the group of reactive silanes, silane hydrolysates, titanates, zirconates, organometallic compounds, acids and bases, and mixtures thereof. Moreover, the coating composition is chemically cross-linked at room temperature.
EFFECT: anti-corrosive coating composition is proposed.
