METHOD OF EVALUATING THE PROBABILITY OF THE OUTCOMES OF THE ERYTHEMATOUS FORM OF LYME BORRELIOSIS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2660572 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to infectious diseases, and can be used to assess the likelihood of outcomes of the erythematous form of Lyme borreliosis. To do this, in the acute period of the disease (within 10–14 days from the onset of the disease), laboratory values are scored in scores: the CD4+/CD8+ ratios for the values of ≤ 1.073 – 5 scores, IL-4 at values of > 71.350 pg/ml – 4 scores, gamma globulins at the values of ≤ 15,120 % – 6 scores, sialic acids at the values of ≤ 214,280 c.u. – 4 scores; other values of indicators are estimated as 0 score. Total score is counted. At a total of > 6 scores, the probability of developing a chronic form of the disease is estimated as 34.04±0.48 %. At the sum of ≤ 6 scores evaluate the probability of recovery equal to 100.00±0.00 %. In the period of convalescence (within 21–25 days from the onset of the disease), the values of the laboratory parameters of the patient in scores: alpha-2-globulins at values of > 8.150 % – 2 scores, serumucoid for values of > 0.321 g/l – 1 score, sialic acids at the values > 205.100 c.u. – 1 score; other values of indicators are estimated as 0 score. Count the sum of points and for the sum of ≥ 3 scores estimate the likelihood of developing a chronic form of the disease equal to 88.89±0.55 %; with a sum of < 3 scores, the probability of recovery is 100.00±0.00 %.

EFFECT: use of this method makes it possible to evaluate the probability of outcomes of the erythematous form of Lyme borreliosis (recovery or development of the chronic form of the disease) both during the height of the disease and in the period of convalescence.
