Essence of the method for directing a guided munition is to highlight the region of the underlying surface with directed optical radiation in accordance with known target coordinates, detection, capture and homing of a homing ammunition along the reflected optical radiation from the area of illumination of the underlying surface, at least two regions of the illumination of the underlying surface are selected, symmetrical with respect to the target coordinates and are in the field of view of homing ammunition, illumination of selected areas of the underlying surface is carried out with a period, smaller than the time constant for the accumulation of a homing ammunition receiver.

EFFECT: technical result is a decrease in the probability of counteracting ammunition sent to the target designation.
