FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, in particular, to systems for fire damage of objects with guided munitions. The substance of the method for guidance of a self-guided munition (SGM) is as follows. The coordinates of a target are determined. Four areas of illumination of the underlying surface located symmetrically at an equal distance relative to the coordinates of the target and located in the field of view of the SGM are selected. Herewith, the distances between opposite areas of illumination are perpendicular. The selected areas of the underlying surface are periodically illuminated with directional optical emission. The reflected optical emissions from the areas of illumination of the underlying surface are received by the SGM. The output signals for each photosensitive element of the photodetector of the SGM are summed for the period of illumination of the selected areas by directional optical emission. The SGM is guided based on the parameters of the obtained sum signals for the period of illumination of the selected areas by directional optical emission for each photosensitive element of the photodetector.
EFFECT: higher effectiveness of applying the SGM for targeting emission.
