SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cooking (kitchen equipment), namely to appliances for steam cooking. Device for cooking food products comprises a body divided into hermetically coaxially located cooking and water storages containing lids, wherein on a lid of the cooking storage there is a plug with a safety valve installed in it and a plug with a safety valve installed in it is installed on a lid of the water storage there is a plug with a safety valve installed in it, at the same time, a pressure meter is additionally installed on the lid of the water storage, herewith the storage bodies are connected by rigid connections having openings. Method for cooking food products in said device is that when a primary hermetic storage is heated with water, cooking of food products placed in a second hermetic storage takes place, provided that the second storage is in the primary storage.
EFFECT: technical result of the claimed invention is an increase in the efficiency of the heating process when cooking food products.
