SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of roofing building materials and concerns a roofing membrane of thermoplastic polyolefins (TPO) and a method for manufacturing same. Roofing membrane comprises: (a) a TPO layer and (b) a coated fabric attached to the TPO layer by attaching a coated fabric to the TPO layer when the TPO layer is in a molten or semi-molten state, wherein the coated fabric comprises a fabric substrate and a coating on said substrate, the coating comprising a binder and expanded graphite dispersed throughout the binder, wherein the coating does not contain other fillers except expanded graphite.
EFFECT: invention provides a coated roofing membrane, comprising expanded graphite having fire resistance and/or flame propagation resistance.
