FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction and can be used in the manufacture of waterproof membranes for roofs. First, a base mixture is prepared by combining the bituminous binder and the polymer modifier at a first temperature of about 150 to about 260 °C. Base mixture may include a tackifying resin, a bituminous binder and an inorganic filler. Resulting base mixture is cooled to a second temperature, which is lower than the first and ranges from about 120 to about 200 °C. Foamed graphite is then added to the cooled base mixture. Sheet is made from the thus obtained bitumen composition.
EFFECT: invention allows to obtain a bitumen sheet with expanded graphite dispersed in one or more bitumen components, while preventing the formation of a coked layer.
