FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a covering element made from fibers, in particular cellulose fibers, as well as to a liquid composition used for this purpose. This method includes a step of coating at least one of the two faces of the fiber mat, in which at least part of said fibers is natural fibers, wherein these natural fibers are, in particular cellulose fibers, and the subsequent stage of impregnation with bitumen, where the coating is carried out with a liquid composition. This composition includes at least one resin and at least one pigment, wherein the composition is a dye composition comprising at least one pigment and at least one curable resin, and further, colemanite and a component having flame-retardant properties, comprising at least graphite, are added to the liquid composition.
EFFECT: manufacture of covering elements with improved fire properties.
