SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an isolated strain of Lactobacillus crispatus and use thereof. Strain of Lactobacillus crispatus identified as IP174178 and deposited in CNCM under registration number I-4646 is proposed. Strain is intended for treating or preventing sexual and urogenital infections, such as vaginosis and candidiasis. Said strain is used in an effective amount as an active substance in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical compositions.
EFFECT: also disclosed is a medical device for treating or preventing sexual and urogenital infections such as vaginosis and candidiasis containing a pharmaceutical composition comprising said strain.
