FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a metallic material used in the construction of a fuel cell, an electrically conductive component of a fuel cell from said metallic material, a fuel cell separator comprising said metallic material and a fuel cell electrode comprising said material. Metallic material comprises a metal substrate, a metal compound layer applied to the surface of the metal substrate and containing a compound of at least one transition metal of the fourth period and oxygen in an amount of more than 50 %, a portion of the platinum group dispersed on the surface of said metal compound layer and containing at least one platinum group element in an amount of more than 50 %, and a film coating of a platinum group compound covering a portion of the platinum group and containing a compound of at least one platinum group and oxygen element in an amount of more than 50 %. In particular embodiments of the invention, said at least one platinum group member contained in the platinum group portion comprises one or more of Ru, Rh, Os and Ir.
EFFECT: metallic material having improved corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity is provided.
