FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: end effector assembly comprises a cartridge with fasteners located in cavities, a slot, a first connector, a second connector and a layer of material. Layer of is releasably attached to the cartridge by the first connector and the second connector. Fasteners are configured to at least partially capture said layer of material when said fasteners are moved to a fired position. Layer of material comprises mounts which extend into said slot between the first connector and the second connector when the layer of material is secured to the fastener cartridge. Mounts comprise a flexible barrel and a head. Head is configured to be inserted into the slot when the layer of material is secured to the cartridge by the fasteners.
EFFECT: invention relates to medical equipment and can be used with a surgical suture tool.
