FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: end effector of a surgical stapler includes a staple cartridge channel for receiving a staple cartridge, an anvil located relative to the staple cartridge channel, and a cutting blade. Cutting blade is able to move along the longitudinal axis from the proximal end of the end effector to the distal end. At least one staple cartridge channel and the anvil are movable relative to each other. Anvil includes a surface forming the staplers, located opposite staple cartridge channel. Staple cartridge comprises: a body with a plurality of staple sockets and staples located inside the sockets. Layer attached to the anvil comprises a distal clip that is located at the distal end of the layer to be attached to the anvil, the proximal end portion and the proximal clip at the proximal end of the layer attached to the anvil. Proximal clip is designed to be attached to the staple cartridge.
