FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for cutting with a rotating disk knife using ultrasonic vibration energy and is intended for cutting thin-wall paper tubes, for example, paper covers of cigarettes. Device comprises a rotating assembly connected to electric motor by means of a V-belt drive and with a high-frequency electric generator. Rotating assembly comprises outer shell, inside which ultrasonic transducer is installed and which on its one side is connected to supporting spherical ball bearing made with the possibility of transmitting electric potential from high frequency electric generator to ultrasonic transducer, and on the other its side through concentrator of ultrasonic vibrations it is connected with waveguide, on which disk knife is mounted.
EFFECT: as a result, design is simplified while increasing reliability and safety.
