FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry and can be used in order to determine the gas factor of oil, as well as oil and water flow rates of oil wells. Method comprises the oil well products entry into a separator with calibrated portion, its separation into the gas and liquid phases, sequential gas and liquid withdrawal from the separator by means of float and flows switch. Liquid flow rate measurement by the separator calibrated part filling rate, and the gas flow rate by its emptying rate, measuring the hydrostatic pressure drop in the separator with its calibrated part complete filling to determine the amount of water in the extracted product. Gas withdrawal switching to the liquid discharge from the separator when the liquid level reaches the uppermost position is made by the float due to its expulsion in the liquid Archimedean force acting on the flows switch upper side. Liquid discharge switching to the gas withdrawal from the separator when the liquid level reaches its lowest position is made by the float due to its gravity in the gaseous medium acting on the flows switch lower side. Liquid and gas flow rates are calculated by the time periods between the installed on the flows switch both sides electrical contacts closings, and the time periods of the flows switch movement after the contacts closing to its extreme positions are excluded from the calculations.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the production rates measurement simplification and increase in their accuracy.
