FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power machines building. Double-acting orthogonal power unit comprises an orthogonal turbine with one or more airfoil blades installed by means of a cross-beams on the end half-shafts, and an electric generator, which shaft is connected to one of the orthogonal turbine half-shafts, at that, the half-shafts are located coaxially, and the half-shafts blades and axes are oriented transversely to the flow incident on the orthogonal turbine, at that, each blade made with an aerodynamic profile is symmetrically relative to the said blade axis of rotation provided with a blade with the active turbine blade profile, also oriented across the flow incident on the orthogonal turbine and located from the blade, made with the aerodynamic profile axis of rotation at a distance of 0.35 to 0.5 from the distance, on which the blade with an aerodynamic profile is located from the axis of rotation,wherein all blades are made with projecting above the blades outer surface baffles, oriented perpendicular to the orthogonal turbine axis of rotation.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the double action orthogonal power unit performance and preventing the turbine from stopping with the blade speed of rotation decrease below the optimum one.
