FIELD: cryptography.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of photonic quantum coupling, namely to the formation of an encryption/decryption key, and can be used as a separate element in the construction of symmetric cryptographic systems intended for the transmission of encrypted messages. This technical result is achieved by using a quantum repeater with photon sources at the nodes in the quantum communication channel. Nodes of the quantum repeater can be separated by distances allowing one-photon signal transmission. Quantum repeater transfers the entanglement of photon states between two neighboring nodes to farther nodes. When the secret key is transmitted by the claimed method, the polarization coding of the information is applied to the photons in the entangled states.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the range of distribution of the secret key in the system of quantum cryptography for an unlimited distance.
