FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of processing of zinc-containing raw materials. Method of zinc extraction from galvanized steel waste includes acid removal of zinc with zinc dissolution. In this case, dissolution of zinc is carried out in hydrochloric acid, followed by hydrolytic purification of solution from iron. Extraction of zinc is carried out in solution of its chloride with concentration of 250 to 500 g/dm3.
EFFECT: possibility of reusing resulting solution of zinc chloride as flux during galvanizing or implementation as reagent that meets requirements of GOST 7345-68, or as a part of ready-mixed fluxing solution.
