SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the field of zinc hot galvanizing, in particular with zinc hot galvanizing of the large-sized heterogeneous items and may be used in metallurgical and a metal-working industry. The method provides, that an item is to pass in series through at least one defatting, one pickling and one fluxing baths, a drying process, feeding of the items in a hot galvanizing bath and refrigerating of zinc-plated items. At that placement of the items in baths of a preliminary treatment is conducted together with pressurization and shielding from an environment of the inner cavity of each of the baths located below the level of horizon with simultaneous maintenance of a depressed space over all the baths by organization of the automatic extraction of the formed vapors. Transit of the items through defatting and pickling baths is conducted at conveyance of the items in the solutions of the corresponding baths. The drying is carried out at hermetic pressurization in a drying chamber at the temperature of no less than 130°С as well as conveyance of the items in the drying zone. At that the heating of the baths of the preliminary treatment and the drying chamber is realized at the expense of heat of the off-gases of the galvanizing bath heating. The treatment of the items in the galvanizing bath is conducted at its shielding from an environment with organization of an exhaust and neutralizing of the vapor of oxides of metals. The technical result - improved ecological situation, increased quality and efficacy of zinc plating of inhomogeneous items of different dimensions and configurations, including thick-walled.

EFFECT: the invention allows to improve ecological situation, to increase quality and efficacy of zinc plating of inhomogeneous items of different dimensions and configurations, including thick-walled items.
