SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic smoking article which comprises an insert for creating an air sheath flow and promoting the formation of an aerosol, configured to create an air sheath flow in the electronic smoking article and to direct the aerosol through a constriction; a mixing chamber upstream of or inside said insert; an expansion chamber downstream of said insert; and an air source of said sheath, designed to create an air sheath of the expansion chamber, so that said air sheath buffers the aerosol relative to the inner surface of the expansion chamber.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the formation of aerosol and reducing loss due to condensation.
