FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgical processing of metal strips. Device for moving the cutting and welding arrangement able to cut and subsiquently weld a tail of first metal strip (B1) with the head of second metal strip (B2). Device comprising at least one first wagon (Ch1) with welding head (S1), being movable over a first guide path (Cg1) across a transverse strip region, at least one second wagon (Ch2) movable separately from the first wagon maintaining a cutting head (D1), being movable on a second guide path (Cg2). In this case, both wagons (Ch1, Ch2) are configured able to be installed in the parking positions on either side of a tail (B1, B2) in the direction along their width.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the productivity of the device by simplification of the process of connecting strips, and also to expand device technological capabilities.
