SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding work pieces together (versions). Proposed unit comprises table 18 for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd work pieces to clamped thereat, first positioning station 2 whereon 1^st and 2^nd work pieces B1, B2 are clamped to said table, first welding station 4 whereby said work pieces B1, B2 are welded together in the zone of their mating surfaces, cutting station 6 whereby said mating surfaces are cut to preset shape, second positioning station 8 whereat third 3^rd workpiece B3 is clamped to table 18 and second welding station 10 whereby 3^rd workpiece and first or second workpiece are welded together in the zone of their mating surfaces.

EFFECT: reliable abutment, hence, higher welding quality.
