SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing lines for sorting wood preforms to be glued, in particular to equipment for sorting wood workpieces in the production of glued wooden structures. Result is achieved by the fact that in the sorting line of wood workpieces including a longitudinal roller conveyor and scanners reading the parameters of the workpiece, behind which the feeding conveyor is mounted to a weighting device for determining the mass of the workpiece, in order to calculate the density of the workpiece and direct it to the corresponding sorting pocket, a computational and command block is built in the sorting line, according to the invention, the operating element of the feeding conveyor to the weighing device is made in the form of a conveyor belt, at the same time, a video camera is installed above the conveyor belt for optical identification of the surface texture of the workpiece to a specified range of annual wood layers, and the weighing device is a weight belt conveyor.

EFFECT: improving the quality of sorting of wood workpieces intended for the manufacture of elements of glued wooden structures, carried out on the basis of determining the density and width of annual layers of wood.
