FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire engineering, namely to control or indicator devices for determining the position of readiness of equipment and, in particular, to the methods, control and recording of the response time of firer sprinklers during their tests for temperature and response time. Method for recording the response time of the fire sprinkler includes monitoring the time from the start of the change in the temperature of the sprinkler surrounding the medium until the activation of the thermal fire sprinkler, and the moment of activation of the thermal lock of the fire sprinkler is determined by one of two ways of interaction between this sprinkler and a rod made of a non-conductive material or of an electrically conductive material with an outer surface covered with an insulating material, on which a metal ring is mounted in a certain position: contact with the end of the nozzle of the sprinkler, fixed immovably to the sprinkler, the metal ring of the piston moving vertically downward inside the nozzle of the sprinkler under the action of gravitational forces; by the fact of contact with the metal ring of the rod fixed immovably, the end of the nozzle of the sprinkler, moving vertically down the rod under the action of gravitational forces. Device for implementing the method for recording the response time of the fire sprinkler comprises a rod mounted inside the nozzle of the tested sprinkler, and a measuring and signaling system unit, wherein the rod is made of a non-conductive material or of an electrically conductive material with an outer surface covered with an insulating material, is provided with a metal ring adjustable along its length, the distance in the initial state between this ring and the end of the nozzle of the sprinkler is assumed to be non-contactable between them, the metal housing of the test sprinkler and the metal ring being connected to the input of the measuring and signaling system unit.
EFFECT: above methods and the device for carrying out the method for recording the fire sprinkler response time allow to automate the process of measuring the activation time of fire sprinklers when checking the temperature and the response time.
