SUBSTANCE: invention relates to firefighting equipment. Method of shutting off water supply to an emergency section of sprinkler plant comprises monitoring the movement of water in the monitored section of the hydraulic network or monitoring the pressure decrease in this network and monitoring the state of sprinkler plant sprinklers with start control, located on the monitored section of the distribution pipelines of the network, as well as logical transformation of incoming information. As a fact of leakage of water or pipeline rupture of the hydraulic network of the sprinkler plant, at which the emergency section of the pipeline network is shut off, movement of the extinguishing agent (or decrease in pressure) and the lack of activation of sprinklers with start control are accepted. As a fact of operation of the sprinkler plant, when emergency section of the pipeline network is not shut off, fluid movement and activation of any of the sprinklers with start control are accepted.

EFFECT: this makes it possible to create a simple logic circuit for automatic target shutdown of the water supply to the emergency section or to the emergency section of the hydraulic network, to distinguish the operational situation from the emergency situation, to identify a flash point, and to identify the emergency section of the hydraulic network.
