FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely to production of electrical anisotropic steel used for the manufacture of power and distribution magnetic cores of transformers. To improve quality of the heat-resistant coating and, as a result, the high adhesion characteristics and the coefficient of resistance of the electrical insulation coating in the steel production process, including steel smelting and casting, hot rolling, etching, double cold rolling, decarburization-recrystallization annealing of the strip in intermediate thickness, application of heat-resistant coating, high-temperature annealing, electro-insulating coating and straightening annealing, the heat-resistant coating contains magnesium oxide MgO, inactive oxides of silicon, magnesium or a mixture thereof, and pyrogenic silica at the following ratio, magnesium oxide 100, inactive magnesium oxides, silicon or mixture thereof 5–35 pyrogenic silicon dioxide (aerosil) 0.5–2.0. Magnesium oxide, which is removed from the surface of bands that have undergone high-temperature annealing, is used as an inactive magnesium oxide.

EFFECT: improving the quality of heat-resistant coating, high adhesion characteristics and coefficient of resistance of the electrical insulation coating.
