SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment of metals by pressure, in particular to the stamping of a sheet material. After pressing the edge part of the workpiece while the press slider is moving downward, the extension of the workpiece to the gap formed by the pressing surfaces of the die and the pressing is made into the wall of the semi-finished product simultaneously with the relief molding of the bottom portions of the semi-finished product towards those areas of the stretched wall to which increased requirements for the accuracy of the angle between the wall and the bottom. In this case, the relief molding is performed on the corners of the spring portions of the wall section of the semi-finished item with respect to the adjacent bottom sections after drawing and trimming the processing allowance in the semi-finished item.

EFFECT: improves the accuracy of semi-finished items by reducing the spring strength of the elongated semi-finished item.
