FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy and can be used in the production of structural low-alloy steels. In the method, a semi-finished product is prepared in a steelmaking machine and its ladle treatment in a steel ladle by introducing aluminum and nitride-forming elements into a liquid metal, continuous casting of metal into a billet with a section not less than 125×125 mm. With out-of-furnace processing, the ratio of total aluminum to nitrogen is adjusted to 2.0÷3.0, and before the continuous casting, a flux-cored wire is introduced with a master alloy containing silicocalcium and barium (SiCa + Ba) in an amount of 0.6÷0.8 kg/t of liquid metal, flux-cored wire is fed to the casting ladle at a rate of 1.0÷3.0 m/s, and continuous casting of metal is conducted through a submerged nozzle.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the castability of liquid metal on continuous casting machines (CCMs) by preventing the steel-pouring hole of the dispenser cup from tightening, and also to increase the mechanical properties of the steel, namely, to increase the temporary resistance and yield strength at practically constant relative elongation.
