FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. Device with the thermodynamic cycle contains working medium, evaporator for the working medium evaporation, expansion machine for the mechanical energy generation during the evaporated working medium expansion, condenser for the working medium condensation, and pump for the condensed working medium transfer to the evaporator. Evaporator geometric arrangement is selected so, that enabling the condensed working medium flow before the pump starts under gravity from the condenser to the evaporator and the working medium circulation in the closed circulation loop through the evaporator and condenser, due to which, in particular, the liquid working medium supply to the pump predetermined height can be provided. Corresponding to the invention device with thermodynamic cycle starting method includes the heat supply to the evaporator and the working medium evaporation in the evaporator, due to which enabling the working medium flow to the condenser, working medium condensation in the condenser, pump starting, when the working medium supply specified level at the pump is reached or exceeded.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the organic Rankine cycle systems starting reliability.
